match date: Sat 21st Jan

posted by: Irlam Hornets - Monday 23rd January, 2012

Irlam Hornets win away at local rivals Langworthy.

A winning second half performance secured the 2 points to put Hornets top of the league, with 4 games to go this season.

In terrible conditions the game was played with a safety first policy and the nil nil half time scoreline only underlined this point.

In the 2nd half, Hornets got 3 trys with John bBrookes, Lee Sailsbury and young Tom Connor scoring them.

Hornets couldn't score anymore with the ref letting Langworthy slow the game down every play along side poor handling and decision making by Hornets.

Next week Hornets play away at Heysham Atoms in what promises to be a very hard and physical game.
